Polly Harrington

Systems Safety Researcher

Polly Harrington’s research focuses on applying systems theory to improve the safety of complex systems.

Polly is a Doctoral Candidate in the Engineering Systems Lab at MIT AeroAstro studying under Professor Nancy Leveson. Her research has focused on the safety of electronic health records, particularly regarding clinical laboratory data. She has a background in Human Factors and is interested in how system safety methods can be improved with additional human design considerations.
